Biography

I joined in Dr. Hui-Zi Chen’s laboratory in the Department of Medicine at MCW as a postdoctoral researcher. I earned my PhD at the University of Eastern Piedmont, Italy, where I focused on identifying novel molecular biomarkers and evaluating their biological and clinical impact in hematological malignancies by using patient-derived samples and advanced genomic technologies, including next-generation sequencing (NGS) and integrative genomic approaches that combined comprehensive genomic profiling with clinical correlation analyses to systematically characterize disease heterogeneity, clonal evolution, and mechanisms of therapeutic resistance. At MCW, I investigate novel therapeutic vulnerabilities in small cell lung cancer (SCLC) through CRISPR-Cas9 genetic knockout, novel inhibitor studies, and integrative multi-omics analyses in both in vitro and in vivo models to develop clinically actionable treatment strategies for a disease that currently has no approved targetable genetic alterations. By integrating transcriptomic, epigenomic, and proteomic analyses with advanced bioinformatics approaches, I seek to elucidate key regulatory networks and oncogenic dependencies that drive tumor progression and treatment resistance. My work emphasizes mechanistic discovery, functional validation, and translational impact, bridging molecular biology with therapeutic development. Ultimately, my goal is to translate these mechanistic insights into precision medicine strategies to improve patient outcomes.
