Biography

Roy Silverstein, MD, is Professor and Chair of Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin Division of Hematology and Oncology. He graduated from Emory University School of Medicine in 1979, and then completed his residency and fellowship in hematology and medical oncology at New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center. Dr. Silverstein is board certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology, and Oncology.

Research Interests

Dr. Silverstein's current research interests include laboratory based translational research on the molecular, cellular, and genetic causes of common human vascular disorders, including thrombosis, angiogenesis, and atherosclerosis. His clinical interests include thrombosis, hemostasis, and myeloproliferative neoplasms. Dr. Silverstein has published over 150 articles which include papers in Blood, Nature Medicine, J. Clinical Invest, and J. Exp Med.
