Medical College of Wisconsin Pediatric Psychology and Developmental Medicine
A Message from Cheryl Brosig Soto, PhD, Section Chief
Welcome! Our division is comprised of a team of professionals, including developmental pediatricians, psychologists, speech and language pathologists and advanced practice nurses who collaborate to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of children who are impacted by developmental, behavioral and emotional disorders. We provide outpatient care at our Child Development Center, and our health psychologists provide integrated mental and behavioral health services for patients impacted by physical illness in our subspecialty clinics and on the inpatient units at Children’s Wisconsin. We are committed to interprofessional education and train medical students, residents, fellows, psychology students and advanced nursing students. We have an expanding research program addressing multiple areas of mental and behavioral health including mental health screening in a medical setting, psychosocial issues related to physical health conditions, the use of virtual reality in pain management, and improving access to mental health care through the use of telehealth.
