MCW’s Department of Orthopedic Surgery is constantly striving to treat the needs of our patients in a complex and rapidly changing environment. I have been impressed by the resiliency of our patients, staff, providers and physicians.

Speaking on behalf of my colleagues, we are so appreciative that our patients put off their elective procedures to help flatten the curve. However, we know that although some of your surgeries were not essential to perform during the first stage of the pandemic, your conditions can be debilitating and important to remedy.

We thank you for your patience and have prepared for your return. We have created a surgical environment that is as safe as possible. We are scheduling elective surgeries and would love to have you reach out to us when you are ready to move forward. I want our Wisconsin community to know that we are striving for the highest level of orthopedic care during the COVID-19 pandemic.
