Dr. Suhas Sreehari Selected by NAE to Represent the United States
Please join the Data Science Institute (DSI) in congratulating Suhas Sreehari, PhD, assistant professor, on his selection by the National Academy of Engineering (NAE) to represent the United States in an important bilateral meeting with China. The meeting will feature thirty researchers from the United States and thirty from China; and it is therefore a very prestigious honor that Dr. Sreehari has been selected to represent the Medical College of Wisconsin at this important international symposium.
Dr. Sreehari joined MCW in December 2025 and brings 14 years of research, academic, and industry experience in machine learning, statistical analytics, deep learning, optimization, computational imaging, anomaly detection, and predictive analytics. Besides his appointment in DSI, Dr. Sreehari is a member of the MCW Center for Imaging Research.
The 2026 China-America Frontiers of Engineering (CAFOE) symposium, organized by the National Academy of Engineering, will be held April 13-16, 2026, in Hong Kong, China. Sixty highly accomplished early-career engineers from China and the United States will meet for an intensive 2.5-day symposium on developments at the forefront of engineering technology in four areas. The event is intended to facilitate international and cross-disciplinary research collaboration, promote the transfer of new techniques and approaches across disparate engineering fields, and encourage the creation of a trans-Pacific network of world-class engineers.
