Emergency Medicine Receives Outstanding Department Award from National Organization

The MCW Department of Emergency Medicine received the prestigious Outstanding Department Award from the Academy of Women in Academic Emergency Medicine at the annual meeting of the Society for Academic Emergency Medicine on May 14. The award is given to a single academic department of emergency medicine that has demonstrated commitment to and excellence in elevating the careers of female faculty members.

Ian B. K. Martin, MD, MBA, eminent scholar, professor with tenure, system chair of emergency medicine, interim associate provost and senior associate dean of faculty affairs, accepted the award on behalf of the department in Philadelphia.
