Sara Engel, MBA, Honored with National Rising Star Administrator Award

Sara Engel, MBA, receives Rising Star Administrator Award (2025)Sara Engel, MBA, administrator for emergency medicine and executive administrator for Unit 6 (Departments of Anesthesiology and Emergency Medicine), has been honored with the Rising Star Administrator Award by the Academy of Administrators in Academic Emergency Medicine (AAAEM) during its annual retreat on March 18. This prestigious award recognizes an academic emergency medicine administrator – an active AAAEM member in good standing – who has demonstrated outstanding participation and/or leadership within the academy during their first four years of membership.

AAAEM is a national professional association dedicated to supporting leaders who manage the administrative and business operations of academic emergency medicine departments, advancing missions in patient care, education, research, and residency program administration. The academy is part of the national Society for Academic Emergency Medicine (SAEM).
