Dr. Michael Uihlein Travels to Beijing to Serve as U.S. Men’s Paralympic Sled Hockey Team Physician

Dr. Michael Uihlein, MCW emergency medicine physician, traveled with the U.S. Men’s Paralympic Sled Hockey Team to Beijing, China to serve as the team physician. The team went on to defend their previous gold medals and win their fourth. The team consists of 17 athletes which includes eight double-above-the-knee amputees, four single-leg amputees, and five with various congenital disabilities. Dr. Uihlein states this gold medal is special because of all the team has had to overcome. Congratulations to Dr. Uihlein and the U.S. Men’s Paralympic Sled Hockey Team!
