April 2022: Masks No Longer Required on Public Transport

On April 18, a federal judge in Florida ruled the national mask mandate for air travel and public transportation should be voided. This means people traveling by plane, train, bus, or other public modes of transportation are no longer required to wear a mask.

Dr. Ben Weston notes that Wisconsin is seeing regions with increased numbers of cases once again. Wisconsin DHS has reported the ‘7 Day Percent Positive by Test Rate’ has increased slightly and is now up by approximately six percent. With this increase and masks no longer being required, health experts are still urging community members to mask up if not able to social distance or stay home if feeling sick. People should continue to wash their hands to help fight against COVID-19 and other illness like a cold or the flu.
