Claire Froman, MSN, RN, CPNP-PC“I chose a fellowship to help me continue to grow, learn and also make an impact clinically. Something that is not spoken enough about is the transition that APPs have out of school and this fellowship helped build my independence throughout the year. I enjoyed the clinical variety the fellowship had to offer through the types of rotations I had within the program. I was also really drawn to the program as it also included professional development, as well as leadership opportunities. This is training we don’t necessarily receive in school and it really helped me be able to focus of my emotional intelligence and communication. The fellowship was one of the best decisions that I’ve made for myself and it allowed me to strengthen my clinical confidence as I move into my career here at Children’s Wisconsin/Medical College of Wisconsin in Pediatric Urology.”

Isabelle St. John, DNP, RN, CPNP-AC/PC“I have always had a passion for Pediatrics and took my dream job as a nurse at Children’s Wisconsin where I stayed for five years. While working as a nurse, I decided to further pursue my career by obtaining my DNP, ultimately receiving my dual certification. I did the majority of my clinical rotations at Children’s Wisconsin which really grew my passion for pediatrics. Medical College of Wisconsin and Children’s Wisconsin are two organizations that are incredibly committed to their missions. By choosing this Pediatric fellowship, it helped foster my relationships with my preceptors as well as allowing me to try out different specialties all while gaining knowledge that would help me in my future career. I have the tools that I need to keep learning, growing and succeeding. I am elated to be able to continue my pediatric passion as I begin my career here at Children’s Wisconsin/Medical College of Wisconsin in Pediatric Hospital Medicine & Pediatric General Surgery.”
