Department of Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences Welcomes Glaucoma Specialist Silvia Lara-Moses, MD

Please join us in welcoming Silvia Lara-Moses, MD, to the Medical College of Wisconsin Department of Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences as an assistant professor of ophthalmology. Dr. Lara-Moses brings extensive expertise in glaucoma and retinal diseases, and will be involved in patient care, surgical procedures, and resident education.

Dr. Lara-Moses completed her medical degree at the Facultad de Medicina Universidad Autonoma de Mexico and her ophthalmology residency at Hospital General de México both in Mexico City, Mexico. She continued her subspecialty training with a glaucoma fellowship at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute at the University of Miami. She later completed a glaucoma clinical and research fellowship at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) in Galveston, Texas. She also pursued a post-doctoral fellowship in vitreoretinal diseases and clinical studies at the Retinal Vascular Center for Clinical Studies in Houston, Texas.

Before joining the Medical College of Wisconsin, Dr. Lara-Moses practiced at Gulf Coast Eye Institute in McAllen, Texas, and later with Charles A. Garcia, MD, Professional Associates in Houston, Texas.
