Milwaukee, Feb. 8, 2023 – Neil Dixit, medical student at the Medical College of Wisconsin, has been awarded a 2023 STFM Foundation Student Scholarship from the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine (STFM) to participate in the 2023 STFM Conference on Medical Student Education.

This highly competitive scholarship is awarded to some of the best and brightest medical students from across the country. In addition to recognizing a strong commitment to academic family medicine through scholastic, volunteer, and leadership pursuits, this award acknowledges the recipient’s strong potential for a career in academic medicine. Only 27 awards were given for 2023.

Neil Dixit presented a poster at the 2023 STFM Conference on Medical Student Education, titled: “Centering Lived Experience in SUD Treatment Education - A Video Series.” All STFM Foundation recipients received free registration to attend and present a poster at the conference in New Orleans in January.
