Respiratory Viruses on the Rise
As the holidays come to an end, a surge of COVID, flu and RSV are major causes for concern. Children are returning to school and communicable diseases can affect any child or family. Dr. Ben Weston, professor of Emergency Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin, comments that the conversation around infection is changing, especially given the lower-than-normal vaccination rates. He notes that our vulnerable populations, particularly our oldest and youngest, need to get vaccinated.
