MCW Pharmacy School Interprofessional Education
One of the hallmarks of our innovative doctor of pharmacy curriculum at the Medical College of Wisconsin is the incorporation of longitudinal interprofessional education (IPE) through which pharmacy students interact and learn with students and providers from other healthcare disciplines, including medical students.
As part of our IPE program, which spans education, experiences, and exposures, our pharmacy students begin IPE in the classroom at the foundational education level during their very first session and advance to pharmacy practice and patient care lab experiences throughout the curriculum. We will prepare you to pioneer new team-based practice models and contribute to higher quality care and better outcomes for both patients and the community.
Our Partners
We offer unique IPE experiences for our students with both the MCW Medical School and MCW Master of Science in Anesthesia program. We also partner with other educational institutions to provide experiences with a variety of future healthcare professionals, including nursing students, physician assistant students, medical interpreter students and more!
