Conference Details
This conference has been designed to provide the latest information on current issues concerning Hospitalist Medicine. This course will provide clinically relevant information to enhance diagnostic and therapeutic skills in the hospitalist setting.

The purpose of this conference is to support physicians and Advanced Practice Providers in hospital medicine by advancing clinical expertise, strengthening collaboration, and improving inpatient outcomes. The program will focus on high-impact acute care conditions, including systolic and diastolic heart failure, adrenal insufficiency, delirium, and alcohol use disorder. Through evidence-based and case-based learning, participants will refine diagnostic and management strategies for medically complex patients.

The target audience includes hospitalist physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, allied health professionals, and students practicing in inpatient settings. We anticipate attendance of up to 100 participants.

Participants who engage in this educational intervention will be able to:
  • Identify current best practice evidence-based guidelines for management of systolic and diastolic heart failure, where to find updates, and strategies to prevent readmission.
  • Describe current best practice evidence-based guidelines for management of alcohol withdrawal, where to find updates, and strategies to prevent readmission.
  • Identify current best practice evidence-based guidelines for management of sepsis, where to find updates, and strategies to prevent further decompensation and transfer to the intensive care unit."
