Stay tuned for expanded culinary medicine programming and future pilot initiatives!
Teaching Kitchen & Culinary Medicine
CDPR’s pop-up teaching kitchen launched in 2026 at ThriveOn King as a hands-on space for culinary medicine education.
The teaching kitchen currently supports a culinary medicine Integrated Science Selective course for medical students, designed to bridge basic science with clinical application. Across eight interactive sessions, students explore culinary medicine concepts, prepare healthy meals, and discuss case studies that connect nutrition, prevention, and patient care.
By combining classroom learning, hands-on cooking, and clinical discussion, the teaching kitchen helps prepare future healthcare professionals to better understand the role of food and lifestyle in preventing and managing chronic disease.
