COVID-19: Drs. John Raymond and Ben Weston Take Down Misinformation

Dr. John Raymond, president and CEO of the Medical College of Wisconsin, joined Dr. Ben Weston in taking down COVID-19 misinformation. Dr. Raymond states that it is not true that people who are vaccinated are more likely to get omicron. What matters is that someone has a higher likelihood of being hospitalized or dying from COVID-19 if they are not vaccinated.

Dr. Ben Weston weighs in on the notion that the omicron variant produces milder symptoms and therefore should not be a worry. Mild symptoms, especially in those who are not vaccinated, will still produce fevers, body aches and chills that tend to keep people sick for days or weeks. Until the omicron variant surge goes down, Dr. Weston is encouraging people to start wearing better masks, such as an N95 or KN95.
