Our Events

The Alumni Association hosts and sponsors programs throughout the year that offer social and professional development opportunities for our alumni, as well as chances for alumni to interact with and support the next generation of physicians and scientists.

MCW-Milwaukee Alumni Weekend
Reconnect with fellow graduates, network and make new connections, hear about the latest happenings on the MCW campus and more.

Alumni Weekend features class reunions for the 10-, 15-, 20-, 25-, 30-, 35-, 40-, 45-, 55- and 60-year MD reunion classes, School of Pharmacy alumni, and select School of Graduate Studies program alumni.

The weekend features an exciting line up of events, kicking off Friday evening with a social Joint Alumni Mixer (JAM) at the Pfister Hotel, which also serves as our headquarters hotel. Saturday morning features a brunch on the MCW-Milwaukee campus that includes a campus update from MCW Leadership and tours led by current MCW students. On Saturday evening each reunion class has a private class dinner.

50-Year Reunion at Commencement
Each year at during commencement weekend, the 50-year classes are invited back to campus for their special Golden Anniversary reunion. The weekend begins with a class photo in caps and gowns before the commencement ceremony. At the commencement ceremony, the celebrants sit with the graduating students and are recognized during the program. Saturday features a campus brunch where MCW Leadership provides an update on their alma mater. The weekend concludes on Saturday evening with a celebratory 50-year reunion dinner. The 50th Reunion activities are hosted by the Medical College of Wisconsin in honor of this great milestone.

Symposium for Senior Physicians
This CME program for retired and semi-retired alumni and other area physicians is held each year and covers a wide range of clinical topics with an emphasis on recent developments in patient care. It features presentations from MCW faculty and includes breakfast, lunch and continuing education credits. We welcome your suggestions on topics and speakers for future symposia.

MCW-Central Wisconsin Alumni Weekend

Reconnect with fellow graduates, network and make new connections, hear about the latest happenings on the MCW-Central Wisconsin campus and more.

The 2024 MCW-Central Wisconsin Alumni Weekend celebrated the classes of 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023.

The weekend kicked off with the MCW-Central Wisconsin White Coat Ceremony on Thursday as an optional event, continued Friday evening for dinner at the Great Dane Pub & Brewing Co. in Wausau, WI, and then concluded with a brunch on Saturday morning at the MCW-Central Wisconsin campus, hosted by Lisa Grill Dodson, MD, Sentry Dean and Founding Dean, followed by student-led tours.

Specialty Receptions
The Alumni Association sponsors MCW hosted receptions for alumni at a variety of national meetings each year. This is an opportunity for alumni from a specific specialty training program to meet with their peers, see friends, and have a chance to talk with MCW faculty.
