Our Events

The Alumni Association sponsors programs throughout the year that offer social and professional development opportunities, as well as chances for alumni to interact with and support the next generation of physicians and scientists.

Alumni Weekend
Reconnect with fellow graduates, network and make new connections, hear about the latest happenings on the MCW campus and more.

Alumni Weekend features class reunions for the 10-, 15-, 20-, 25-, 30-, 35-, 40-, 45-, 55- and 60-year classes. The 50-year class has their reunion on Commencement weekend.

The weekend features an exciting line up of events. Friday evening is a reception, banquet and program at the Pfister Hotel, which also serves as our headquarters hotel. Saturday morning features a brunch at MCW and a program hosted by the Dean, followed by tours led by current MCW students. On Saturday evening each reunion class has a private class dinner.

50-Year Reunion at Commencement
Each year at commencement, the 50-year class is invited back to campus for their special Golden Anniversary reunion. The weekend begins with a class photo in caps and gowns before the commencement ceremony. At the commencement ceremony, the class sits in the front row and is recognized. Saturday features a class brunch where the President presents each member with a Golden Circle certificate and pin commemorating their 50 years in medicine. On Saturday evening the class will have its 50-year celebration dinner.

50-Year Reunion

Symposium for Senior Physicians
This CME program for retired and semi-retired alumni and other area physicians is held each spring and fall and covers a wide range of clinical topics with an emphasis on recent developments in patient care. It features presentations from MCW faculty and includes breakfast, lunch and continuing education credits. We welcome your suggestions on topics and speakers for future symposia.

Specialty Receptions
The Alumni Association and MCW host receptions for alumni at a variety of national meetings each year. This is an opportunity for alumni from a specific specialty to meet with their peers, see friends, and have a chance to talk with MCW faculty.
