The MCW Center for Immunology and MCW Cancer Center are proud to co-host the 2026 Midwest Tumor Microenvironment Conference. This long-standing conference brings together prominent interdisciplinary scientists conducting state-of-the-art research across the Midwest’s institutions. The event is established as a dynamic approach for trainees and early-career investigators to acquire cutting edge and unpublished scientific knowledge, to advance their career, and to grow their scientific network and collaborations.

Attendees will have the opportunity to:

  • Submit an abstract and present their work during a poster session to get feedback from their scientific peers
  • Attend specific sessions that highlight various topics related to the tumor microenvironment
  • Hear from a prominent keynote speaker in the field

Call For Abstracts

Submission Deadline: Monday, March 2 | 5 p.m. CST

Graduate students, research staff, postdoctoral fellows, and early-career investigators are eligible.

The entirety of the abstract (title, authors, affiliation, and text) may not exceed 250 words. Please use the attached template for your submission. Top abstracts will be selected for oral presentation.

Please submit completed abstract to Lindsey Meekma at lmeekma@mcw.edu.

Posters

Posters should contain:

  1. Abstract
  2. The question you are asking or what you are investigating
  3. Background information so the readers understand the scientific questions being addressed
  4. The basic method being used
  5. Results stated in an easy-to-understand format
  6. A conclusion statement
  7. Posters should not exceed 4 x 6 feet
