Meet the Liu Lab Team
Meet Dr. Ziqing Liu
Dr. Liu earned her bachelor’s degree in biology from University of Science and Technology of China in 2008. After receiving her PhD from Indiana University in 2014, Dr. Liu completed post-doctoral training in cardiac and vascular biology at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill with Dr. Li Qian and Dr. Victoria Bautch. Dr. Liu developed strong interests in heart regeneration, angiogenesis, and OMICS approaches during her postdoc training. In October 2022, Dr. Liu joined the Medical College of Wisconsin to start her own lab. She hopes that decades into the future, findings from the Liu lab about cardiovascular regeneration will help repair a failing heart.
