Employing a community-engaged model, MCW-Central Wisconsin will prepare the next generation of physicians to work in primary care, general surgery, and psychiatry. MCW-Central Wisconsin is on the national forefront of medical education innovations. Gifts to the regional campus strengthen health in local communities and power innovations, including:
- Community-engaged admissions process
- Three-year curriculum
- Integrated science and clinical learning
- Longitudinal clinical experiences
- Scholarly projects addressing local needs
MCW-Central Wisconsin Regional Campus
Philanthropic support is critical to our success. When powered by philanthropy, innovations like the regional campus bring excellence to medical education. Gifts to the regional campus are critical to:
- Power innovation
- Strengthen learning environment and technology
- Recruit and train local faculty
- Expand the horizons of local children and college students to consider science-related careers, including medicine
With successful achievement of this initiative, Wisconsin families will be the ultimate beneficiaries, when community-minded, locally training physicians are caring for patients - from healthy and safely delivered babies to senior citizens in need of compassionate geriatric care, as well as citizens and families seeking improved access to mental health care from compassionate psychiatrists.
MCW-Central Wisconsin Scholarship Fund
Attending medical school is one of the most expensive journeys a student can undertake. Your gift to scholarship has a positive impact on medical students as they prepare for a life devoted to caring for patients and advancing the future of medicine. One-time or recurring scholarship gifts help students achieve their dreams to become community physicians.
Named Endowed Scholarships
A named endowed scholarship is a lasting tribute to the future of medical education in the region. Scholarships attract extraordinary achievers who may not otherwise have the ability to afford a medical education. Your gift of $25,000 or more will provide scholarship support in perpetuity. MCW-Central Wisconsin Interim Director of Development, Hailey Hennessy, will craft a scholarship opportunity that is meaningful to you. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org or (414) 955-4702.
Student Support Fund
Our medical students are learning from local physician mentors in many area cities and towns. Plus, they are completing population health scholarly projects in partnership with area non-profits and organizations. Gifts to the Student Support Fund provide important resources to assist students in connecting with community-engaged activities that develop their ties to the region and address health needs in central and northern Wisconsin.
