The Center for Advancing Population Science holds a bi-monthly seminar series from September to May. In the past, a MCW faculty member, visiting faculty or staff professional presented a specific topic of study, fielded questions and lead a group discussion. Seminars are divided into two categories as described below. Each seminar will be 60 minutes in length and take place at noon two Fridays per month.
Leaders in the field will discuss advances in their area of research and describe new innovations. Topics will appeal to a broad audience. Presenters will come from local, regional, or national institutions. These cutting-edge seminars will be 45 minutes in length with 15 minutes for audience questions and discussion.
Works In Progress
Come ready to share your expertise to those looking to advance their career in the field of population science. Presenters will have the opportunity to obtain feedback on new ideas prior to grant submissions. Typical length is 30 minutes with the remaining time for questions and feedback.
A light lunch and refreshments are served at meetings.
