Interview Updates

For the 2023-2024 application cycle, all Department of Neurology fellowship programs at MCW will be conducting virtual interviews due to the ongoing COVID-19 global pandemic.

Welcome from the Program Director, Dr. Gregory Rozansky

Welcome and thank you for your interest in our Comprehensive Neurocritical Care Fellowship Training at Medical College of Wisconsin. The MCW training program is nationally recognized and accredited by United Council of Neurological Subspecialties (UCNS). We are the major Level 1 Trauma center for Southeastern Wisconsin which gives the fellows the opportunity to gain broad experience in managing complex and high acuity patients. Strength of our program include our hands on clinical training under the supervision of board certified neurointensivists from various academic backgrounds in collaboration between faculty from neurology, neurosurgery, anesthesia, trauma surgery, emergency medicine and critical care medicine. NICU currently comprises of 20 ICU beds and 6 step down (NPCU) beds with surge capacity.

Our clinical training is supplemented by weekly didactics and various educational conferences. Our training includes central lines, arterial lines, intubations, bronchoscopy, basic and advanced point of care ultrasounds, intercostal drains, and exposure to multimodality monitoring. We are amongst few fellowship programs nationally to offer bedside percutaneous tracheostomy training to our fellows. This provides an outstanding experience and learning opportunities in neurocritical care, as well as a good training in general critical care.

We take pride in advancing our field by participating in multiple clinical trials and encourage our fellows to participate in research. Fellows are encouraged to engage in multidisciplinary team morbidity and mortality review, quality improvement projects, and education. I hope you consider our comprehensive neurocritical care fellowship training and feel free to reach out to me grozansky@mcw.edu for additional information.

Through this program, you’ll have the opportunity to work with a diverse set of faculty members. Learn more about our Neurocritical Care Doctors.
