Center for International Blood & Marrow Transplant Research (CIBMTR)

CIBMTR: A division of the Department of Medicine

The CIBMTR® (Center for International Blood and Marrow Transplant Research®) is a research collaboration between the National Marrow Donor Program® (NMDP)/Be The Match® and the Medical College of Wisconsin.

The CIBMTR collaborates with the global scientific community to advance hematopoietic cell transplantation (HCT) and cellular therapy worldwide to increase survival and enrich quality of life for patients. The CIBMTR facilitates critical observational and interventional research through scientific and statistical expertise, a large network of transplant centers, and a unique and extensive clinical outcomes database.

The CIBMTR has been collecting HCT outcomes data worldwide for more than 40 years, resulting in a Research Database with information on more than 475,000 patients. Data is available to investigators with interest in HCT and treatments for cancer and other life-threatening diseases. The CIBMTR has become a respected leader in HCT research by providing a unique resource of information and expertise to the medical and scientific communities.
