At the Mary Ann and Charles LaBahn Pancreatic Cancer Program, we understand how overwhelming a pancreatic cancer diagnosis can be. That is why we offer second opinions that gives you access to specialists who focus on pancreatic cancer care. With support from the Seena Magowitz Foundation, this option helps provide patients with added confidence and access to many treatment options as they navigate their care.

Why Consider a Second Opinion
A second opinion is more than reassurance, it’s an opportunity to confirm your diagnosis, review your treatment plan, and explore additional options that may be right for you. Our multidisciplinary team can:
- Review your scans, pathology, and medical history
- Clarify your diagnosis and staging
- Comment on treatment when appropriate
- Discuss eligibility for clinical trials and research at our institution
Whether you are at the beginning of your diagnosis or evaluating your current plan, a second opinion may be of value in selected situations. If you are comfortable with your current medial team and your care plan, a second opinion is often not necessary.
What to Expect
When you request a second opinion through our program, our team will guide you through every step of the process. We coordinate record collection and scheduling and can offer in-person or virtual consultations when appropriate.
