Medical College of Wisconsin Pathology & Laboratory Medicine Fellowship Programs
The department offers 1-year, ACGME-accredited fellowship programs in Hematopathology and Cytopathology, as well as 1-year non-accredited fellowships in Women's Health Pathology and GI/Liver Pathology. Our department also sponsors a Transfusion Medicine fellowship at Versiti Blood Center of Wisconsin, a Pediatric Pathology fellowship at Children’s Wisconsin, and a Forensic Pathology fellowship at the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Breast/Gynecologic Pathology Fellowship
This 1-year fellowship provides subspecialty surgical pathology training of the breast and gynecologic tract. -
Cytopathology Fellowship
This 1-year, ACGME-accredited fellowship provides advanced training in diagnostic cytopathology and the performance of fine needle aspiration biopsies with strong encouragement to participate in clinical research. -
Forensic Pathology Fellowship
This 1-year, ACGME-accredited fellowship provides in-depth training in forensic pathology. -
Gastrointestinal Pathology Fellowship
This fellowship provides in-depth exposure to all aspects of gastrointestinal tract and hepatic pathology including medical diseases, infectious and inflammatory processes, neoplastic conditions, and transplant pathology. -
Hematopathology Fellowship
This 1-year, ACGME-accredited fellowship provides broad-based training in the laboratory approach to diagnosis of hematologic disorders, as well as education in the structure and function of the routine hematology laboratory. -
Pediatric Pathology Fellowship
This 1-year, ACGME-accredited fellowship provides training in general perinatal and pediatric pathology, pediatric hematopathology, clinical pathology and laboratory medicine, neuromuscular pathology, molecular diagnostics, and other areas of study within pediatric pathology and laboratory medicine. -
Selective Pathology - Surgical Fellowship
This 1-year, ACGME-accredited fellowship provides advanced subspecialty training in the practice of general surgical pathology with additional emphasis in one area of subspecialty surgical pathology as determined by the fellow based on their educational preferences. -
Transfusion Medicine Fellowship
This 1-year, ACGME-accredited fellowship provides training in blood center and transfusion service operation and therapeutic apheresis.
