MCW's Office of the Senior Associate Dean for Community Engagement (CE) has developed the Community Engagement Core (CEC) which aims to fully integrate the institution's community engagement mission throughout the campus and the community. A variety of programs and resources come from the Office of the Senior Associate Dean for CE and the CEC, which will have an impact on how effectively we address health equity and social disparities across the state of Wisconsin.
The CEC is a primary resource and catalyst for community engagement projects for both MCW and community partners. These and other special initiatives within the CE Core will build on the foundation and tradition of CE already at MCW, elevate MCW as a national leader in population health and increase positive impact of resources for the communities we serve.
Together our mission and vision are:
Improve the health of communities of Wisconsin and beyond by advancing art and science of community engagement and make the Medical College of Wisconsin a national leader in improving the health of the public.
