Forbes Best-In-State Employers Award for 2022

The Medical College of Wisconsin received the Forbes Best-In-State Employer Award for 2022, which is the second consecutive year for the institution. On a national level, making the Forbes list of Best Employers by State ranks MCW in the top 3% of all U.S. employers with 500 or more employees.
HEED Award 2022

INSIGHT Into Diversity magazine’s 2022 Health Professions Higher Education Excellence in Diversity (HEED) Award

MCW received the 2022 Health Professions Higher Education Excellence in Diversity (HEED) Award from INSIGHT Into Diversity magazine for its success in striving for inclusive excellence through its Office of Diversity and Inclusion. This is the second year in a row MCW has been named a Health Professions HEED Award recipient.

Froedtert & MCW network hospitals earn U.S. News & World Report 2021-2022 recognitions

Froedtert Hospital received three Top 50 national rankings in the U.S. News & World Report 2021-2022 Best Hospitals Rankings: #43 in Ear, Nose and Throat, #44 in Rehabilitation, and #50 in Diabetes and Endocrinology. The hospital also was recognized as high performing in Gastroenterology and GI Surgery, Pulmonology and Lung Surgery, Urology, and Orthopaedics. Froedtert Menomonee Falls Hospital was recognized as high performing in Pulmonology and Lung Surgery. Regionally, Froedtert Hospital was ranked #1 in Metro Milwaukee and #2 in Wisconsin.

Campus Compact's 2020 Richard Guarasci Award for Institutional Transformation

MCW received the 2020 Richard Guarasci Award for Institutional Transformation from Campus Compact for successfully implementing institution-wide efforts to address issues of public concern. MCW was recognized as a national leader in community engagement through its integration of engagement into research, education and clinical care with the goal of advancing health policy and advocacy and addressing the social determinants of health.

Rotary Club of Milwaukee 2021 Person of the Year

Dr. John R. Raymond, Sr., Medical College of Wisconsin president and CEO, was named “2021 Person of the Year" by the Rotary Club of Milwaukee for making an impact on the Milwaukee community through high ethical standards and professional contributions.

Milwaukee Business Journal 2022 People to Know in Health Care

Mara Lord, MCW senior vice president of university engagement and strategic planning, and Joyce Sanchez, MD, associate professor of medicine (infectious diseases), were named among the “10 People to Know in Health Care” in southeastern Wisconsin by the Milwaukee Business Journal. The list honors executives who are on their way up and making a difference in the healthcare industry.

Children’s Wisconsin ranked among nation’s best by U.S. News and World Report

Children’s Wisconsin was ranked among the top pediatric hospitals in the nation and #1 in Wisconsin in the 2021-2022 U.S. News & World Report Best Children’s Hospitals list. They were ranked in six specialty areas: Cancer, Cardiology & Heart Surgery, Gastroenterology & GI Surgery, Neurology & Neurosurgery; Orthopedics, and Pulmonology.
