Medical College of Wisconsin Pediatric Residency Continuity Clinic

Children’s Wisconsin resident continuity clinic training strives to provide a high volume of exposure to general pediatrics and graduated autonomy as residents progress towards graduation.  We emphasize one-to-one instruction from faculty, supplemental resources for self-directed learning, and training tailored to each resident’s future goals.

About Continuity Clinic

Our longitudinal training in primary care, commonly referred to as Continuity Clinic, allows for 22-26 days each year working directly with our primary care faculty.  Residents are matched to clinics that will foster both personal and professional growth, as well support a well-rounded education in general pediatrics and community-based medical care.  Our program partners with Children’s Wisconsin primary care clinics, the 16th Street Clinic, private practice clinics and providers in affiliated health systems to provide a broad spectrum of available training sites.

Most continuity clinic sites are within 15-20 minutes drive of the main campus for Children’s Wisconsin, but will still span cross-sections of urban, suburban, exurban, and rural communities.

My favorite thing about being an MCW pediatric resident is my continuity clinic, where I get to see a wide variety of patients and feel very supported to learn.
