Investiture Ceremony

Thursday, October 9 | Harley-Davidson Museum

About the Ceremony

The investiture ceremony is an invitation-only celebration and tradition that honors the formal appointment of distinguished faculty members to endowed positions at the Medical College of Wisconsin. These prestigious roles, made possible through the generosity of donors, represent a lasting investment in the future of medical education, research, and patient care.

The ceremony publicly acknowledges both the donor's commitment to advancing academic medicine and the chairholder’s exceptional achievements in teaching, research, and service. It is a moment of pride for MCW and the faculty recipient, a reflection of our values, and a testament to the enduring partnerships that shape our community.

During the event, faculty honorees are formally presented with their endowed titles and recognized for their leadership and contributions. We also express deep gratitude to the donors whose support sustains innovation and excellence across MCW.

Through each investiture, we strengthen the legacy of medical advancement – one that continues to inspire the next generation of physicians, scientists, researchers, and healthcare leaders.

Investiture reflects the dedication of all of us at MCW to collaborate closely with donors and our distinguished faculty and to accelerate healthcare benefits for patients and families. This work is possible only at an academic medical center, and we are truly grateful for the impact of these donors on patients and families.
