Research Management Suite
eBridge is maintained and managed by Research Systems within the Office of Research at the Medical College of Wisconsin.
Since its launch in 2005, eBridge has seen many changes and thousands of improvements. Today, eBridge is a suite of services that allow researchers, partners, and affiliated research sites to create, submit, track, report and archive research applications.
Institutional, federal, state, and local regulatory requirements are managed by Research Systems in partnership with the (GCO) Grants and Contracts Office, Institutional Review Board(s) (IRB), the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC), and the Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC) at the Medical College of Wisconsin.
About eBridge Modules
Maintained and managed by Research Systems within the Office of Research at the Medical College of Wisconsin, eBridge is composed of five primary modules with each having its own capabilities, workflows, and user roles.
|Researcher Profile (RP)
Your Researcher Profile is your central repository for training records, including training related to Animal Submissions, Financial Conflicts of Interest in Research, CITI training, and safety training. eBridge sends automatic reminder emails when date sensitive training is about to expire.
| Animal Use Applications (AUA)
Use the Animal Use Module to submit, track, report and archive animal research protocols, applications, and renewals. Under this module, eBridge tracks and communicates submission states and required actions on behalf of the IACUC, as well as renewal due date notification.
|Human Research Applications (PRO)
Use the Human Module to create, submit, and track new IRB protocols (PRO), amendments (AME), continuing progress reports (CPR) , and reportable events (RE), all which must be entered in eBridge.
| IBC Applications (IBC)
Use the Biosafety Module to submit review requests for the use of biologicals. Institutional Biosafety Committee decisions and notifications are sent electronically.
|Funding Proposals (FP)
Use the Funding Module to create, submit, and track all MCW-submitted funding proposals. eBridge is integrated with Oracle for post-award account administration. Users can also create budgets with institutional templates and receive automatic email notifications from the Grants and Contracts Office (GCO) or sponsors.
