At the Medical College of Wisconsin and Children’s Wisconsin, we offer one of the nation’s broadest collections of accredited pediatric fellowship programs — more than 30 across a full spectrum of subspecialties. Each fellowship is rooted in the strength of its specialty division while drawing on the collaborative resources of our entire academic health system. Adolescent Medicine
Our three-year, ACGME-accredited program is open to physicians in Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, and Family Medicine. Fellows train with experts in adolescent medicine, gynecology, psychiatry, psychology, sports medicine, endocrinology, toxicology, child advocacy, and more. -
Adult Congenital Heart Disease
Our two-year program offers advanced training in one of the nation’s largest adult congenital heart disease centers. Fellows gain expertise for careers in ACHD, emphasizing clinical excellence, research, and leadership in this emerging field. -
Allergy & Immunology
Our fellowship program trains future allergists and immunologists in a supportive, collaborative environment. Fellows spend most clinical time in outpatient clinics, caring for patients of all ages, from children to adults. -
Child Advocacy and Protection
Our three-year, ACGME-accredited program offers diverse experiences through a hospital-based service, subspecialty rotations, and urban and rural Child Advocacy Centers staffed by experienced physicians, advanced practice providers, and social workers. -
Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
Our ACGME-accredited program prepares physicians to provide exceptional psychiatric care for children and families. Fellows train with diverse patient populations, gaining broad experience across cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. -
Child and Adolescent Psychiatry | Rural Track Extension
Our ACGME-accredited rural track trains fellows in Northeast Wisconsin to address youth mental health needs. Fellows gain broad experience with diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds through a rich network of community resources. -
Craniofacial Surgery
Our one-year, ACGME-accredited program provides subspecialty training in cleft and craniofacial surgery. Fellows gain expertise in cranial vault surgery, orthognathic surgery, distraction osteogenesis, cleft surgery, and craniofacial trauma. -
Medical Genetics
Our two-year program trains clinical medical geneticists to provide advanced diagnostic, management, and counseling services for a wide range of genetic disorders, with rotations designed for educational value rather than service needs. -
Neonatal-Perinatal
Our program offers advanced clinical training in a Level IV NICU and research mentoring from leaders in pulmonary hypertension, bronchopulmonary dysplasia, bioethics, and clinical outcomes, preparing fellows for leadership in clinical care and academic medicine. -
Pediatric Anesthesiology
Our ACGME-accredited program prepares fellows for subspecialty certification through comprehensive training in pediatric anesthesia, including OR and ICU care, out-of-OR anesthetics, pre- and post-anesthesia care, pain management, and advanced life support for neonates, infants, and children. -
Pediatric Anesthesiology-Pain Combined
Our two-year, ABA- and ACGME-accredited program integrates pediatric anesthesiology and pain medicine. Fellows split time between specialties, participate in a two-year continuity pain clinic, engage in scholarly work, and refresh anesthesia skills near the program’s end. -
Pediatric Cardiology
Our program offers training in one of the nation’s largest pediatric cardiology, cardiac surgery, and cardiovascular research centers. This three-year program meets sub-board requirements, with an optional fourth year for advanced clinical or research training. -

Pediatric Dermatology
Our two-year, ACGME-accredited program trains physicians as skilled clinicians, dedicated teachers, and focused researchers. Fellows receive broad-based and in-depth education in diagnosing and managing skin disorders, with opportunities for teaching and supported research. -
Pediatric Emergency Medicine
Our three-year, ACGME-accredited program trains specialists to provide expert pediatric emergency care, supervise care teams, and conduct research to improve outcomes for acutely ill and injured children. We have prepared fellows for subspecialty certification for over 35 years. -
Pediatric Endocrinology
Our three-year, ACGME-accredited program prepares fellows for careers in clinical care, education, and research. Fellows encounter a wide range of endocrine disorders in a supportive environment that fosters autonomy and offers opportunities for meaningful research. -
Pediatric Epilepsy
Our ACGME-accredited program trains fellows in the evaluation and care of patients with epilepsy. Offered as a one-year track or a two-year track combined with Clinical Neurophysiology training. -
Pediatric Gastroenterology

Pediatric Hematology

Pediatric Hospital Medicine
Our two-year, ACGME-accredited program trains physicians to provide evidence-based inpatient care, coordinate services for patients with a wide range of conditions, advocate for optimal outcomes, and communicate effectively with primary and subspecialty providers. -
Pediatric Infectious Diseases
Our program trains fellows to evaluate and treat common and rare infections, learn from nationally and internationally recognized experts, and collaborate across subspecialties. Fellows receive tailored clinical and research training, mentorship, and guidance in presenting, publishing, and grant writing to prepare for successful careers in infectious diseases. -
Pediatric Nephrology
Our three-year, ACGME-accredited program offers comprehensive training in patient care, research, and education. Fellows join our nephrology, kidney transplant, and dialysis teams, receive protected learning time, mentorship, and resources for scholarly work, and present at local and national conferences. -
Pediatric Neurocritical Care
Our 12-month clinical program offers opportunities in active clinical research, participation in multidisciplinary conferences, and teaching trainees in pediatrics and neurology. -
Pediatric Ophthalmology
Our one-year, AUPO-accredited program offers intensive clinical and surgical training to prepare fellows for careers in pediatric ophthalmology in academic or private practice settings. -
Pediatric Otolaryngology
Our program offers comprehensive clinical and surgical training through a broad variety of operative cases and multidisciplinary clinics, providing fellows with a well-rounded, robust education in pediatric otolaryngology. -
Pediatric Pathology
Our one-year, ACGME-accredited program provides training in perinatal and pediatric pathology, pediatric hematopathology, clinical pathology, laboratory medicine, neuromuscular pathology, molecular diagnostics, and other specialized areas. -
Pediatric Psychology and Developmental Medicine
Our clinical post-doctoral program provides advanced training in pediatric and clinical child psychology, preparing fellows for independent practice and careers that contribute to both the profession and the welfare of society. -
Pediatric Pulmonology
Our nationally recognized program trains future pediatric pulmonologists through excellence in patient care, research, and teaching. Fellows receive broad clinical training and diverse research opportunities in a collegial environment that fosters both clinical and scholarly growth. -
Pediatric Radiology
Our one-year, ACGME-accredited program covers all facets of pediatric imaging, including neuroimaging, thoracoabdominal, cardiac, fetal, musculoskeletal, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, interventional radiology, and nuclear medicine. Fellows receive full-time clinical supervision, teaching, and mentorship. -
Pediatric Rheumatology
Our three-year, ACGME-accredited program prepares fellows for careers as academic pediatric rheumatologists, offering comprehensive training and maintaining continuous full accreditation since 2003. -
Pediatric Surgery
Our two-year, ACGME-accredited program provides comprehensive training and mentorship in the diagnostic, operative, and perioperative care of children with congenital and acquired anomalies and diseases. -
Pediatric Urology
Our program provides clinical, surgical, research, teaching, and administrative training to manage complex pediatric urologic conditions. Fellows learn compassionate, cost-effective care in a diverse and innovative environment.
