The Medical College of Wisconsin is a unique free-standing medical school with 1,450 faculty and $142 million of external research support. PhD degrees are awarded in basic and translational research; biochemistry; biophysics; biostatistics; ­cell biology, neurobiology and anatomy; micro­biology and molecular genetics; pharmacology and toxicology; physiology, public and community health, and functional imaging.

Clinical and Translational Science Institute of Southeastern Wisconsin

The CTSI represents a unique and transformative collaboration among the Medical College of Wisconsin. Its campus research partners include Froedtert Hospital, Children’s Hospital Health System of Wisconsin, VA Medical Center, and the Blood Research Institute, and the major academic institutions in southeast Wisconsin: Marquette University, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and Milwaukee School of Engineering. The CTSI is supported by an NIH Clinical and Translational Science Award grant.

Milwaukee County Research Park

The Milwaukee County Research Park Corporation (MCRPC) is a non-profit organization created to manage the development of a university-related research park on 175 acres of Milwaukee County owned land in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. The Research Park will nurture technology-based companies, strengthen Milwaukee County's business base, create new employment opportunities, and facilitate technology commercialization. This objective will be accomplished by bringing together the substantial academic, intellectual, business and entrepreneurial resources of the metropolitan Milwaukee area in a physical environment conducive to such activities.
